Accident & Emergency

A 24-hour emergency unit for accidents, sudden illness and any condition that cannot wait.

Emergency team attending to a patient

About this service

When something goes badly wrong, the last thing you need is uncertainty. Our emergency unit runs 24 hours a day, every day — staffed, lit and ready whether you arrive at noon or at 3 a.m.

Emergency cases are seen immediately on arrival. Assessment, stabilisation, laboratory tests, treatment and — where needed — admission or ambulance transfer all happen on one campus, so nothing slows your care down.

What we help with

  • Accidents and injuries — road accidents, falls, cuts, burns and fractures.
  • Sudden illness — severe pain, difficulty breathing, collapse, high fever and acute infections.
  • Children's emergencies — rapid attention for babies and children who are very unwell.
  • Pregnancy emergencies — urgent maternity cases move straight into our maternity pathway.

What to expect when you visit

Come straight in — or call as you travel

Call +254 711 161 164 while on the way so the team can prepare for your arrival. If you can't call, just come; no booking is ever needed for an emergency.

Immediate assessment

A clinician sees you on arrival, prioritised by urgency. Treatment for life-threatening conditions begins at once.

Stabilisation and treatment

Diagnostics, medication and procedures happen on site. We keep you and your family informed at every step.

The right next step

Depending on your condition, you go home with clear instructions, stay for observation, or are admitted for continued care.

Common questions

Do I need money or documents before I'm treated?
In an emergency, treatment comes first. Come in immediately — our team will talk you through everything else once you are stable.
Should I call before coming?
If you can, yes — call +254 711 161 164 so we can prepare. But never delay travelling to the hospital in order to call.
Can you send an ambulance?
Yes. Our ambulance service runs around the clock — see the Ambulance Services page or call the same number.
